Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

J. Steve Cooper born and raised in Bangor Maine

Before my dad Steve had passed I thought I should do something to keep him alive in our hearts....I wanted something I could share with everyone. A friend of mine suggested I do a website in his name & I thought what a great idea...so here we go.
Where do I start?..My dad...wow what a person he was, he was a fabulous musician....a loving husband...and father to all his 6 children, and an unbelievable Grampy to all his grandchildren.
The thing he did first and foremost was serve his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. My Dad was dedicated to teaching and spreading the word of God to all.
My dad served his country and was a veteran. He did several things as a career..he helped start the recycling center at UMO..he worked with mentally challenged people..he was a CNA..my dad worked for the state doing taxes.
He even worked cleaning buildings..which is how he hurt himself and became disabled.
Steve loved animals. He trained several dogs to be the best pets...he taught his two scared kids how to drive.
My dad loved to travel....Canada, Tahiti, Jamaica, Hawaii...and all over the USA.
He gave up his life in Maine to take care of his disabled Aunt in Mississippi. When his work was done in Mississippi he moved back to Maine, the place he loved the most where he lived the remainder of his life.
My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2002. He had a procedure done and thought he was cured..until the doctors found that he still had cancer and it was pretty far along. His cancer spread throughout his body. Not one day did my dad complain. Oh he said "My shoulder aches" or "My leg hurts", but not one time did he complain of it....or let it stop him from doing what he wanted.
My dad was a true fighter to the very end of his life...not once was he scared or nervous as we tossed and turned him around in his hospital bed....he would just look up and say, "I will get you for this" & we all laughed knowing he wouldn't do a single thing to harm anyone.
My dad had so much love for all he knew, but the one person he loved and longed to see was his Lord Jesus Christ his Savior who promised him everlasting life in Heaven.
I know my dad is there with him and my mom and my nephew and I know someday I will see him again ...his big bright smile....and voice that will sing all the lil babies to sleep....greeting me with the biggest best hug ...I cannot wait to see him again...He is loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Thank you for taking the time to read this....I had many tears fall as I wrote this ...I hope you enjoy this site ...please feel free to add what you want to share with others....God Bless...Terry
